  • Super Stay

This is a charming little place. I was a bit hesitant since it was listed under B&B’s on Trip Advisor, but it’s more like a little Inn.

It was not busy when we were there and the very friendly person at the front desk upgraded us. That was a nice unexpected surprise. There is a spot on the main floor that serves complementary coffee, tea and cookies all day… also a nice touch and appreciated.

The complimentary continental breakfast was lovely. There was enough food there to feed an army. Yogurt, good quality OJ, breads, hot and cold cereals. I would have liked a better selection of fruit, but not a big deal. We had our breakfast on the patio. It was wonderful!! So peaceful!! The air was so fresh. Very relaxing.

The room was a good size. Comfortable bed. No iron and ironing board but when I requested one it was provided without a problem. My only negative about the room is that on their website it advertized soaker … the room we were upgraded to only had a standup shower.

That day we toured around Kimberley. I have to say, Kimberley in the summer was a bit of a sleepy town. There were some unique shops but we decided around lunchtime to move on. Had we stayed in town, we definitely would have stated at the Chateau another night, and if we return to Kimberley, we’d stay here again.

  • Great!!!!

We have stayed at Chateau Kimberley for many visits to Kimberley. The hotel is very quiet and clean. The management and staff are very friendly. We always have a pleasant stay there. Breakfast is included with your stay. Hope all will enjoy their stay as well as we do.

  • Warm Welcome

We arrived in Kimberley during a downpour and with no reservations. Unsure of where to stay we read the hotel entry in the BC Accommodation guide and decided to check it out. This unique renovated heritage building (originally the Cominco Steel Administration Bldg) ended up being the highlight stay of our summer vacation. The warm welcome from the staff and the offer of fresh coffee and cookies with a comfy seat by the fireplace in the inviting lounge, was a terrific antidote to the dismal weather. We had a beautiful 2 bed room with big windows, large bathroom, fridge, coffee maker and lots of space. The nightly rate $99 included a good breakfast in the downstairs breakfast room. The breakfast room opens up to a walkout patio. Breakfast included fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, bagels, juice and coffee or tea. The immaculately clean building is also an art gallery for Kimberley and local artists display their art. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it an extra night. The staff go out of their way to make sure your needs are met and they are helpful with suggestions of restaurants and activities.

  • A Truly Charming Inn

Stayed at the Chateau Kimberley one night in late October. Admittedly a quiet time of the year so very quiet but there is something very unique about this hotel. The room was large, bed comfortable with all the comfort amenities. The personnel, including the owner were VERY welcoming & they lay on an excellent breakfast next morning. The Chateau is located very close to the ‘downtown’ area of Kimberley within walking distance of the Mozart restaurant which was also very good. All in all, a very enjoyable experience & the Chateau Kimberley is strongly recommended if you are through Kimberley

  • Outstanding Hotel ! Service Amazing!

This little hidden gem is the place to stay if you are planning a trip to Kimberley or around Kimberley!
We were greeted by the owner ( Val ) upon arrival and felt so welcome and comfortable! The rooms are clean and a nice size. The hotel itself is very unique and makes you want to relax. Coffee and tea are always on , and a wonderful living room with fireplace to visit your friends in and relax . Breakfast offered in the morning was excellent too.
This is a place we will return to , as well as recommend to anyone heading to Kimberley.
Top notch and priced right! Thank you Val and Pat for the great service!

Room Tip: They do not have cribs or playpens so be sure to pack your own! But totally kid friendly otherwise.

  • Peaceful

The hotel is located on a very quiet corner with access to several trails. It is a refuge for anyone who needs/likes peace and tranquility. You are welcomed into a gallery of art and warmth. The owner and her front desk staff are most gracious and helpful. Although I had not requested gluten-free breakfast at my booking, Val was most accommodating… she even cooked a special organic gluten-free oat mixture. We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. There is a lovely lounge as well as tea, coffee and cookies for a snack during the afternoon. Very well thought out.
Although the reason for our two night stay was not for pleasure we felt that we had chosen the right setting. We highly recommend this well priced hotel and are looking forward to a return visit during different circumstances.
There is a great cafe just a few minutes walk away that is frequented by local serving snacks etc. during the day.
