MaryAnn has always said “I should have been an architect”. Most of her paintings are very detailed and she spends considerable time ensuring details are correct. Then there comes a time when she need to let go and “play”. This is when she has fun doing abstracts and working with mixed media. She enjoys all subjects and is always keen to try something new.
MaryAnn’s involvement with the Chateau Kimberley Hotel and Art Gallery has produced two successful art shows, of which one was a wine tasting venture in March of 2008. MaryAnn is responsible for coordinating and organizing the shows and displays at the Chateau Kimberley Hotel and Art Gallery.
MaryAnn is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists where many of her paintings have been juried into the Federation Gallery in Vancouver, BC. Her “Mayook Memories”, a watercolor painting, was featured in the International Artist Magazine in 2009 as a finalist. In addition, MaryAnn is the coordinator of our Art Gallery.
