Warm Welcome

We arrived in Kimberley during a downpour and with no reservations. Unsure of where to stay we read the hotel entry in the BC Accommodation guide and decided to check it out. This unique renovated heritage building (originally the Cominco Steel Administration Bldg) ended up being the highlight stay of our summer vacation. The warm welcome from the staff and the offer of fresh coffee and cookies with a comfy seat by the fireplace in the inviting lounge, was a terrific antidote to the dismal weather. We had a beautiful 2 bed room with big windows, large bathroom, fridge, coffee maker and lots of space. The nightly rate $99 included a good breakfast in the downstairs breakfast room. The breakfast room opens up to a walkout patio. Breakfast included fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, bagels, juice and coffee or tea. The immaculately clean building is also an art gallery for Kimberley and local artists display their art. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it an extra night. The staff go out of their way to make sure your needs are met and they are helpful with suggestions of restaurants and activities.
